1. About This Guarantee

This workmanship guarantee is provided by Adrent Roofing Ltd for qualifying roofing works that we supply and carry out directly. It is offered in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not affect those rights in any way.

If you are unsure about your consumer rights, please refer to guidance provided by Citizens Advice or contact us directly.

2. Duration and Coverage

We offer a 20-year guarantee (depending on the type of work) on the workmanship of roofing services we directly carry out. This covers defects in installation that arise as a result of our workmanship, provided that:

  • The full contract price has been paid
  • The work has not been altered, damaged, or maintained improperly
  • The fault is not caused by external events or unrelated structural issues

Covered services may include: new roof installations, re-roofing, flat roofing systems, leadwork, guttering, and tile/slate work, where carried out by our own team and included in your written quotation.

3. Exclusions

This guarantee does not cover the following:

  • Work carried out by any third-party contractor, even if referred by us (see Section 7)
  • Storm, impact or weather-related damage
  • Wear and tear, algae or moss build-up
  • Structural movement or defects in the building
  • Lack of routine maintenance (e.g. blocked gutters)
  • Damage due to third-party works or access (e.g. scaffolders, installers)
  • Works carried out based on customer-supplied design, materials or instructions

4. Materials and Product Warranties

We are not the manufacturer of any roofing materials. Where materials fail due to product defect (e.g. underlay, tiles, membranes), these are typically covered by manufacturer warranties. Where applicable, we will provide documentation or contact information to assist you in claiming.

We will not be held liable for failure of materials where the fault lies with the product itself.

5. Making a Claim

If you believe there is a problem with the workmanship, please:

  • Notify us in writing at info@adrentroofing.co.uk
  • Include photos, your original quote, and a brief description of the issue
  • Allow us access to inspect the issue

We will assess whether the problem is due to our workmanship. If it is, we will carry out appropriate remedial work at no cost to you.

This guarantee is non-transferable unless agreed in writing.

6. Conditions of Validity

The guarantee is only valid if:

  • The work was carried out directly by Adrent Roofing Ltd, not a third party
  • Full payment has been received
  • The issue is reported promptly and within the guarantee period
  • The customer has not caused or contributed to the issue through misuse, neglect, or unauthorised alteration

7. Work Referred to Independent Contractors

In some cases, we may refer customers to independent roofing professionals if we are at capacity or unable to take on certain work. Where this occurs, we will clearly inform the customer in writing before any quote is issued.

In such cases:

  • The contractor will quote and contract directly with the customer
  • Adrent Roofing Ltd does not guarantee, supervise, or take payment for their work
  • Any guarantee is offered by the independent contractor, not by Adrent Roofing Ltd

This ensures legal separation under UK consumer law and protects all parties appropriately.

8. Your Statutory Rights

This guarantee is provided in addition to and not instead of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related UK consumer protection laws.

You have the right to:

  • Receive services performed with reasonable care and skill
  • Have faulty work corrected
  • Cancel contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, where applicable
